The Achaemenid kings could draw upon mounted warriors from across their enormous empire, making cavalry an important and diverse component of Persian armies.

APCAV-03 – Persian Cavalry depicts a mounted warrior ready to operate beyond the more tightly grouped infantry formations. On campaign, cavalry could screen an army’s movements, scout enemy positions and rapidly respond to threats developing elsewhere on the battlefield.

Combined with other APCAV releases, this figure can help create an impressive mounted contingent operating along the flanks of the Persian battle line.
