Although the spectacular costumes of elite Aztec warriors often receive the most attention, missile troops were also an important part of Mesoamerican warfare. Archers could engage opposing forces from a distance before the main body of warriors closed for hand-to-hand combat.
AZ-33 – Aztec Archers #2 brings additional bowmen to the Aztec ranks, providing useful ranged support for a larger fighting force.
The archers can be positioned behind advancing warriors or spread across the battlefield in a looser formation. Combined with other missile troops, they help create a more complete representation of an Aztec army in action.
