BEECH-06B – Extra Horse | John Jenkins Designs

BEECH-06B is an additional horse designed to complement John Jenkins Designs’ Forsyth’s Scouts figures from the Battle of Beecher’s Island.

The battle began after Major George Forsyth and his small group of approximately 50 scouts were attacked by a much larger force of Plains warriors in September 1868.

The scouts withdrew to a sandbar in the Arikaree River, where they hastily constructed a defensive position. Their horses became an important and tragic part of the battlefield, with fallen animals used to strengthen the perimeter and provide some protection from incoming fire.

This extra horse is therefore more than simply an accessory and can help add realism and atmosphere to a larger Beecher’s Island display.

Will be available from The Military Workshop. Pasted markdown
