BGC-07 – Chocs Away
The rapid development of military aviation during the First World War created an entirely new group of servicemen – the pilots and aircrew who took their fragile machines into the skies above the battlefield.
The expression “Chocks away!” became closely associated with aviation, referring to the removal of the wheel chocks before an aircraft moved off for take-off.
BGC-07 – Chocs Away captures the atmosphere surrounding these pioneering military aircraft and the personnel who operated around them. It makes an excellent addition to an airfield scene, particularly when combined with aircraft, pilots, mechanics and other ground equipment.
Available from The Military Workshop – a characterful John Jenkins release for adding activity and atmosphere to an early military aviation display.
