BH-37 – Two Ordnance Crew Loading HVAR

American carrier aircraft became increasingly formidable ground-attack platforms as the Pacific War progressed, and one of the weapons available to them was the 5-inch High Velocity Aircraft Rocket – HVAR, commonly nicknamed the “Holy Moses”.

BH-37 depicts two ordnance crewmen loading an HVAR, capturing the vital preparation taking place before an aircraft could return to combat.

The figures are ideal beneath the wing of an appropriate carrier aircraft, where their poses allow the weapon-loading process to become part of the display itself.
