BREED-103 - Breed's Hill Redoubt, Straight FL | John Jenkins Designs

This straight fortification section forms part of the modular Breed's Hill Redoubt collection, representing the American defensive position constructed during the opening months of the American War of Independence.

Identified as Straight FL, this section is one of the structural components required to recreate the complete standard redoubt defended during the Battle of Bunker Hill on 17 June 1775.

The American forces established their position on Breed's Hill, near Charlestown, overlooking Boston.

The earthworks became the focus of repeated British infantry attacks as the British attempted to regain control of the position.

The defenders successfully resisted the first two assaults, causing considerable British casualties, before eventually retreating during the third attack after their ammunition was exhausted.

Although the British secured the hill, the battle demonstrated that colonial militia could withstand assaults by professional regular infantry when fighting from prepared defensive works.

BREED-103 is designed to be combined with the other standard redoubt components, BREED-100, BREED-101, BREED-102, BREED-104 and BREED-105, to form the complete fortification.

Please note: This product contains an individual straight wall section only. The remaining assembly components are sold separately.
