BREED-107 - Breed's Hill Redoubt, Corner BR | John Jenkins Designs
This corner section represents part of the American defensive redoubt constructed on Breed's Hill during the Battle of Bunker Hill on 17 June 1775.
Identified as Corner BR, BREED-107 forms part of the modular Breed's Hill fortification collection and is designed to be combined with other redoubt sections.
The American defensive position on Breed's Hill was constructed to protect the approaches to Boston and challenge British control of the surrounding area.
On 17 June 1775, British regular troops launched a series of attacks against the colonial defenders. Despite their greater military experience, the British suffered heavy casualties during the first two assaults.
The redoubt was eventually captured during the third attack after the American defenders exhausted much of their ammunition.
Although the British secured the position, the engagement demonstrated the determination and effectiveness of American militia fighting from prepared defences.
BREED-107 provides an additional corner component for collectors wishing to construct an expanded or alternative redoubt arrangement.
Please note: This is an individual modular corner section, not a complete fortification. Additional BREED-series sections are required to create a full display.
