CS01075 - 11th Mississippi Firing | The Collectors Showcase

The 11th Mississippi served in some of the American Civil War's most demanding fighting. Its participation in Pickett's Charge is particularly remembered: during that costly assault, the regiment advanced deeply into Union positions and suffered devastating casualties. These figures recall the regiment's experience through a series of individual battlefield roles.

The Firing miniature represents a soldier of the 11th Mississippi at the point of active engagement. Its direct combat pose complements the kneeling firer and the reloading figure, allowing a collector to depict different stages of infantry fire in one formation. Used with the regiment's advancing and charging figures, it helps convey the shift from an organised line to the fierce pressure of an assault.

Part of the 54mm 11th Mississippi series, this miniature can be grouped with the regiment's officers, colours, riflemen and support figures. Together they make an evocative Confederate infantry display, particularly one inspired by the costly fighting at Pickett's Charge.
