CSBS-06B – Confederate Standard Bearer (3-Piece Set)
Honour the proud traditions of the Army of Northern Virginia with CSBS-06B – Confederate Standard Bearer, an impressive three-piece set from The Battle of Brandy Station collection, available from The Military Workshop.
The cavalry of General Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia earned a formidable reputation throughout the American Civil War. Under the leadership of Major General J.E.B. Stuart, these mounted soldiers carried out reconnaissance, screened troop movements, raided enemy supply lines, and fought fiercely in some of the war's most dramatic cavalry engagements.
Leading these formations into battle were the standard bearers, whose responsibility was to carry and protect the regiment's colours. More than a simple flag, the battle standard represented the honour and identity of the regiment. Losing it to the enemy was considered a profound disgrace, while defending it often required extraordinary courage under intense fire.
Beautifully sculpted with exceptional historical detail and expertly hand-painted, CSBS-06B captures the spirit and bravery of the Confederate cavalryman entrusted with one of the army's greatest responsibilities. Whether displayed with mounted troopers or as part of a larger Brandy Station scene, this striking set is a fitting tribute to the cavalrymen who rode with the Army of Northern Virginia.
