CW7FL-04N - 7th Regiment of Foot, Four Infantry Casualties | John Jenkins Designs
This four-figure set represents casualties of the British 7th Regiment of Foot, the Royal Fusiliers, during the Battle of Cowpens on 17 January 1781.
The set includes four infantry figures in two different casualty poses, with two soldiers depicted falling after being shot and two crawling after being wounded.
These figures provide a realistic representation of the human cost of battle and are particularly suitable for a detailed American War of Independence diorama.
The Royal Fusiliers participated in the Southern Campaign as part of the British army commanded by Lord Cornwallis. Shortly before Cowpens, a detachment of 171 men from the regiment was assigned to Lieutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton's force.
The Fusiliers fought on the left of the British line during the engagement against Brigadier General Daniel Morgan's American army.
The battle ended in a significant British defeat, with many soldiers killed, wounded or captured.
CW7FL-04N can be displayed alongside advancing Royal Fusiliers and British command figures to recreate the intensity of the fighting at Cowpens.
Now available from The Military Workshop.
