CW7FL-08 – Two British 7th Fusiliers Advancing
March into the battles of the American War of Independence with CW7FL-08 – Two British 7th Fusiliers Advancing, a superbly hand-painted two-figure set depicting soldiers of the renowned 7th Regiment of Foot (Royal Fusiliers), available from The Military Workshop.
The Royal Fusiliers were among Britain's most respected infantry regiments, tracing their origins back to 1685. Sent to North America in 1773, the regiment served throughout the Revolutionary War and became known for its discipline, professionalism, and steadfast performance under fire. After suffering capture during the American invasion of Canada, the regiment was rebuilt through prisoner exchanges and returned to active service, continuing to fight in the war's major campaigns.
This set represents the Fusiliers advancing during the Battle of Cowpens on 17 January 1781, where British forces under Lieutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton clashed with the American army commanded by Brigadier General Daniel Morgan. Although the battle ended in a decisive American victory, the Royal Fusiliers maintained their reputation for discipline and courage, advancing into battle against determined opposition in one of the Revolutionary War's most celebrated engagements.
Beautifully sculpted with exceptional historical accuracy and expertly hand-painted, these advancing Fusiliers perfectly capture the appearance of British line infantry moving steadily towards the enemy with muskets at the ready. Whether displayed on their own or combined with larger formations, they bring authenticity and movement to any American Revolutionary War collection.
