EEC-02 – Royal Écossais – Officer with Regimental Colours
The Royal Écossais was a Scottish regiment in French service, raised during the 1740s and closely associated with the Jacobite Rising of 1745.
Its name – effectively “Royal Scots” – reflected its Scottish identity despite serving the French crown. Elements of the regiment reached Scotland during the Rising and became part of the wider Jacobite military effort.
EEC-02 portrays an officer with the Regimental Colours, producing an especially impressive centrepiece for the Royal Écossais formation.
The combination of officer and colours gives the figure immediate presence among marching or fighting infantry.
Available through The Military Workshop – a striking John Jenkins Designs Royal Écossais command piece bringing the colours of this fascinating Franco-Scottish regiment to the Jacobite battlefield.
