FFL081 – Wounded Legionnaire captures a moment when the legendary endurance associated with the Foreign Legion is being tested to its limits.

Thomas Gunn has designed this latest group of figures around the atmosphere of a desperate last stand, with wounded and fallen men accompanying those still defending the position.

A wounded figure can tell considerably more of a story than another soldier simply firing his rifle. Place FFL081 against a wall, near the Gatling gun or among other defenders and the viewer immediately understands that the fighting has already been underway for some time.

The figure is particularly effective when paired with FFL080 Drummer and FFL082 Dead Legionnaire, creating several different human responses to the same battle.
