FJ046 – Kurt Steiner with Woman | Thomas Gunn
Thomas Gunn turns to one of the classic military films of the 1970s with a new series inspired by The Eagle Has Landed.
Released in 1976, the film follows a fictional German mission to England involving a group of Fallschirmjäger led by Colonel Kurt Steiner, played by Michael Caine, as part of a plot to kidnap Winston Churchill.
FJ046 – Kurt Steiner with Woman recreates the dramatic railway-station sequence early in the film. Steiner intervenes during a confrontation with SS personnel overseeing Jewish prisoners after a woman attempts to escape. Thomas Gunn's vignette depicts Steiner with the woman during this scene.
This is therefore less a conventional historical Fallschirmjäger release and more a miniature recreation of a recognisable moment from military cinema.
Collectors can use FJ046 as the centrepiece of the complete railway-station confrontation or display it independently as part of a collection devoted to classic war films.
Available through The Military Workshop – a distinctive Thomas Gunn cinematic vignette recreating Kurt Steiner in one of the memorable opening sequences from The Eagle Has Landed.
