FOB055 “German Mounted Adjutant” portrays Captain Helmut Eckhardt, adjutant to General Erich von Manstein, mounted on horseback as he accompanies his commanding officer. The figure captures the formal appearance of a German staff officer during the early years of the Second World War, when mounted officers were still a familiar sight within command and reconnaissance formations.
The piece fits naturally into King & Country’s Fields of Battle range, particularly displays centred on the German campaign in France in 1940.
