GG03-01 – Officer – 2nd Battalion, 3rd Regiment of Foot

The 3rd Regiment of Foot – the Buffs (East Kent Regiment) – possessed a military history stretching back centuries before its involvement in the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879.

GG03-01 portrays an Officer of the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Regiment of Foot, giving collectors a command figure around which the Buffs can be assembled.

His place is naturally near the front of a company, beside other command figures or directing infantry occupying a defensive position.

The Buffs provide an interesting alternative to the better-known 24th Regiment frequently associated with the Zulu War.
