Representing warriors of the renowned inGobamakhosi Regiment, this set highlights the increasing use of firearms within the Zulu army during the later stages of the Anglo-Zulu War. Although muskets and rifles lacked the speed and accuracy of British firearms, they provided valuable supporting fire before the warriors closed with their traditional spears.

The inGobamakhosi Regiment earned a reputation for courage and determination, taking part in several major engagements of the campaign, including the attack on Lord Chelmsford's Eshowe Relief Column at the Battle of Gingindlovu on 2 April 1879. Despite fierce resistance and overwhelming British firepower, the regiment displayed the discipline and bravery that characterised the Zulu military system.

Expertly hand-painted and full of authentic historical detail, this eight-figure set is ideal for recreating one of the Anglo-Zulu War's most dramatic battles.
