GLA-14W – ANZAC Throwing Grenade – White Shirt – Gallipoli

As the Gallipoli campaign developed into trench warfare, hand grenades became increasingly important in fighting at close quarters.

Trenches could be separated by remarkably short distances, and grenades offered a means of attacking positions that could not easily be reached by direct rifle fire. Improvised devices were also used when purpose-made supplies were inadequate.

GLA-14W captures an ANZAC in a white shirt at the moment of throwing a grenade, making it particularly suitable for a close-range trench scene.

Position him behind cover, near the lip of a trench or immediately behind advancing comrades. His throwing pose introduces a completely different action from the predominantly rifle-armed figures around him.

Available from The Military Workshop – a highly animated John Jenkins Designs ANZAC grenade thrower bringing the close-quarter nature of Gallipoli trench fighting into your collection.
