GWB-57 – Artillery Crew Priming Shells captures this crucial stage of the ammunition process, moving the focus away from the gun itself and onto the men preparing its ammunition.

First World War artillery employed different shell types and fuzes for different purposes. The safe handling and preparation of this ammunition required care and trained personnel, particularly in the busy environment of a battery position.

This makes GWB-57 one of those specialised sets that can add considerable historical depth to a display. Position the crew a short distance behind the gun with ammunition nearby, creating a separate preparation area feeding shells forward to the main detachment.
