GWB-63D – London Bus – Passengers Set #2

The famous London double-decker bus underwent an extraordinary transformation during the First World War. Vehicles that had carried civilian passengers through the streets of London were requisitioned and sent overseas, where they transported soldiers towards and away from the fighting front.

GWB-63D – London Bus Passengers Set #2 provides the personnel needed to populate one of these iconic wartime vehicles.

Adding passengers makes an enormous difference to a transport model. Instead of an empty bus standing beside the road, the vehicle becomes part of the movement of an army – carrying men towards a new sector, away from the front for rest or between staging areas.

The figures can also be combined with GWB-64 to increase the number and variety of passengers, while GWB-61 provides a suitable driver.

Together, the sets can create one of the most distinctive transport scenes available for a First World War collection.
