GWF-25 – Two Wounded PCDF
The French Army paid an immense price during the First World War. Battles such as Verdun, the Somme and the Chemin des Dames produced casualties on a scale that became one of the defining realities of the conflict.
GWF-25 – Two Wounded PCDF portrays two wounded French soldiers and brings that human cost into the John Jenkins Designs Western Front range.
Casualty figures are especially effective when they are integrated naturally rather than grouped together. One can be placed near the front of an advance while another is positioned farther behind, suggesting wounded men attempting to make their way towards medical assistance.
They also work particularly well with stretcher bearers, medical personnel and the other wounded French releases to create a casualty collection point behind the firing line.
The result can be a much more thoughtful battlefield display – one that shows not only the attack but also its consequences.
Available from The Military Workshop – a poignant two-figure John Jenkins Designs set portraying wounded French soldiers amid the enormous human cost of the Western Front.
