March into one of history's earliest recorded battles with HITT-08A – Hittite Spearman, a beautifully hand-painted two-piece set from The Battle of Kadesh collection, available from The Military Workshop.

The Hittite infantry provided the solid foundation upon which the empire's famous chariot corps operated. Armed with a thrusting spear, short sword or dagger, and a leather-covered shield, these soldiers were trained to support advancing chariots while holding the battle line against enemy attacks.

Campaigning over great distances often meant travelling with relatively light equipment, allowing Hittite armies to move quickly across difficult terrain. Despite their simpler appearance, these warriors formed part of one of the most disciplined military forces of the Late Bronze Age.

Expertly sculpted and richly hand-painted, this two-figure set captures the distinctive appearance of the soldiers who stood alongside the mighty chariot armies of King Muwatalli II.
