HMRR-10Y – Hastatus helps achieve that balance, providing another individual yellow-shielded infantryman who can be worked into the larger Mid-Republican formations.
Roman heavy infantry fought with discipline, but a battlefield was still filled with uneven ground, casualties, movement and confusion. Staggering individual figures among the larger sets can suggest that organised formation without creating a rigid parade-ground appearance.
The Hastatus himself represents the forward heavy infantry of the legion, equipped to use missile weapons before engaging at close quarters.
Position HMRR-10Y among the HMRR-04 and HMRR-05 yellow-shield releases, with a Cornicen, Centurion and Signifer nearby.
