HMRR-15R – Hastatus – Red Shield
HMRR-15R offers another individual red-shielded Hastatus for collectors assembling the Roman Army of the Mid-Republic.
One of the great advantages of the John Jenkins Designs HMRR series is the number of complementary poses available. Instead of repeating the same four figures across an entire battle line, individual warriors can be inserted between larger groups to produce a much more convincing formation.
Historically, the Hastati fought during an era in which Roman military power was being tested repeatedly. Success against one enemy frequently led directly to confrontation with another, and the Republic's expansion demanded enormous reserves of manpower.
HMRR-15R can reinforce the main line, stand close to a Centurion or be positioned towards the front where the formation is beginning to engage.
