INCA-05B – Inca Warrior
The armies of the Inca were built upon an empire stretching thousands of kilometres along the Andes, from areas of modern Ecuador and Peru into Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.
INCA-05B – Inca Warrior represents one of the soldiers who served within that vast military system.
Moving and supplying armies across such difficult geography required exceptional organisation. The Inca road network, way stations and administrative structure helped the state mobilise manpower and resources over great distances.
Individual warriors such as INCA-05B are especially useful when building a larger army because they can be mixed among specialised troops such as slingers and polearm-equipped warriors.
Rather than arranging every figure uniformly, grouping different warrior types together can suggest the varied regional contingents that contributed manpower to Inca campaigns.
Available from The Military Workshop – a finely detailed John Jenkins Designs Inca warrior for expanding the forces of Tawantinsuyu at the height of its power.
