By 1918, the United States Marine Corps was fighting on the Western Front as part of the American Expeditionary Forces, where Marine units established a reputation during some of America's most famous actions of the First World War.
JJCLUB-2015D – Private Jenkins places the Collectors' Club character into the uniform of a U.S. Marine in 1918.
Marines serving with the U.S. Army's 2nd Division were heavily engaged in the fighting around Belleau Wood in June 1918, followed by further operations as the Allies moved towards the final offensives of the war.
Private Jenkins represents the individual Marine within that larger history. He can be combined with the GWUS Marine Corps figures to add another pose and personality to a marching or battlefield formation.
The figure also works particularly well in a chronological display of the various Jenkins Club personalities, showing just how widely the series ranges across military history.
