JR-21 – Highlander Attacking #3
The Jacobite army that marched into England in late 1745 had achieved something remarkable. After victory at Prestonpans, Prince Charles Edward Stuart's forces advanced south as far as Derby, creating genuine concern within the British government.
JR-21 – Highlander Attacking #3 represents one of the Highland fighting men behind that extraordinary campaign.
The figure is caught in attack, making him equally suitable for the Jacobite victories earlier in the Rising or the final confrontation at Culloden.
Rather than displaying JR-21 alone, place him among Highlanders in several different stages of movement. Some can be firing or carrying muskets while others, including this figure, have committed themselves to close combat.
That variety is important because the Jacobite army should not be reduced to a stereotypical mass of sword-wielding warriors. Firearms remained significant, while equipment and fighting methods varied among the men in the army.
The Military Workshop is pleased to offer JR-21, a characterful John Jenkins Designs Highlander ideal for adding further movement to a Jacobite attack.
