JR-29N - 4 Lowland Infantry | John Jenkins Designs

This four-figure set represents Jacobite Lowland Infantry serving during the Rising of 1745 and the campaign that culminated at the Battle of Culloden.

The figures depict soldiers belonging to the organised infantry component of Charles Edward Stuart's Jacobite army.

Although Highland clan regiments are among the most recognisable elements of the rebellion, the Jacobite forces also included Lowland Scots, northeastern regiments and soldiers trained according to contemporary European military methods.

These troops contributed to the broader military organisation established during the campaign, which began at Glenfinnan in August 1745.

After early victories, including the capture of Edinburgh and the Battle of Prestonpans, the Jacobites advanced into England before eventually withdrawing to Scotland.

The campaign ended with their defeat at Culloden on 16 April 1746.

This four-figure set provides an excellent opportunity to expand a Jacobite infantry formation, particularly when combined with other Lowland soldiers, Highland clansmen and military command figures.
