JR-40N – The Jacobite Rebellion 1745 – The Battle of Culloden, 16th April 1746 – The Jacobite Army – Highlanders (4 pcs)
The Jacobite Army that gathered beneath the banner of Bonnie Prince Charlie consisted largely of Highland clans whose loyalty, courage and martial traditions had been passed from generation to generation. These men fought not as professional soldiers but as warriors defending their families, their culture and the Stuart claim to the throne. Their remarkable campaign captured Edinburgh, defeated government forces at Prestonpans and advanced deep into England before circumstances forced a difficult retreat back to Scotland.
The final battle at Culloden lasted less than an hour, yet its consequences shaped Scottish history for generations. The defeat of the Jacobites brought sweeping political and cultural changes to the Highlands, making Culloden one of the most significant battles ever fought on British soil.
This impressive four-figure set perfectly captures the determination and individuality of the Highland warriors. Each miniature features a distinctive pose, allowing collectors to recreate the movement and energy of the famous Highland Charge. Intricate sculpting, historically accurate clothing and beautifully executed hand-painted finishes combine to create a truly outstanding display.
At The Military Workshop, we believe history is best appreciated through pieces that combine authenticity with exceptional artistry. This magnificent Highlander set offers collectors the opportunity to recreate one of Scotland's most iconic moments with figures worthy of that remarkable legacy.
