KX023 – Lieutenant Pennel | King & Country
The great American director John Ford created some of the most memorable Western films of the 20th century, particularly his celebrated cavalry trilogy depicting military life on the American frontier.
Released in 1949, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon starred John Wayne as Captain Nathan Brittles, an ageing cavalry officer approaching retirement while attempting to maintain order and protect his men during a period of unrest on the frontier.
Among the younger officers serving alongside him was Lieutenant Ross Pennell, portrayed by actor Harry Carey Jr. The character represented the younger generation of cavalry officers learning to accept the responsibilities and challenges of military leadership.
KX023 – Lieutenant Pennel by King & Country recreates this memorable character from the classic Western film.
Depicted in the distinctive blue uniform of the United States Cavalry, the figure captures the appearance of a young officer serving at an isolated frontier outpost during the late 19th century.
An excellent addition to the King & Country John Ford's Cavalry collection, Lieutenant Pennel can be displayed alongside Captain Brittles, other cavalry officers and enlisted troopers to recreate scenes inspired by this classic Hollywood Western.
