LAH-S05 – ‘Leibstandarte At Parade Rest’ – Set of 4
Ceremonial formations depend upon numbers and uniformity, and LAH-S05 provides four Leibstandarte figures at parade rest for collectors building a larger historical parade scene.
The Leibstandarte's origins lay in the personal protection of Adolf Hitler. During the 1930s it became a highly visible element at Nazi ceremonies and state occasions, where immaculate drill and carefully arranged formations were used as instruments of political spectacle.
The four-figure format makes LAH-S05 particularly useful for constructing ranks. Multiple sets can be placed alongside one another, with officers, standards and other ceremonial personalities positioned around them.
This is a subject where a restrained, organised layout works better than a battlefield arrangement. Straight ranks and regular spacing reproduce the deliberate visual character of the mass rallies and ceremonies staged by the regime.
As with the wider LAH range, these figures represent a historically significant but deeply criminal political and military system; the wartime Leibstandarte was implicated in atrocities and war crimes.
Available through The Military Workshop – a four-piece King & Country parade set for collectors recreating the ceremonial formations of Nazi Germany in historical miniature.
