LEUT-10B – Leuthen Churchyard Straight Wall

Under the alternate supplied title, LEUT-10B – Leuthen Churchyard Straight Wall provides a completely different but extremely useful element: battlefield terrain.

The fighting around Leuthen village and its churchyard became an important part of the battle as Austrian troops attempted to resist the Prussian advance.

Walls and enclosed spaces can transform a miniature battle. Infantry suddenly have cover to defend, attackers have an identifiable objective and the terrain itself begins to explain why troops are positioned where they are.

A straight wall section is also wonderfully flexible. Several can be joined to define the churchyard perimeter, while figures can be positioned firing over, moving alongside or defending gaps in the masonry.

Combine it with corner sections, buildings and suitable infantry and the collection can recreate the fierce fighting within the village rather than only the open battlefield.
