MAD-02 – Beja Warrior Charging #2 – 2 Pieces
MAD-02 – Beja Warriors Charging #2 provides two further warriors for expanding the momentum of a Beja attack.
The Beja earned a formidable reputation during the eastern Sudan campaigns because of their willingness and ability to close rapidly with opposing troops. British formations relied heavily upon disciplined rifle fire and defensive formations to meet such attacks.
The reality was not a simple contest between “traditional” and “modern” warfare. Mahdist forces could employ firearms as well as edged weapons, while their commanders adapted tactics according to circumstances.
MAD-02 is most effective when mixed with the MAD-01 charging figures rather than kept as a separate pair. Vary the distance between the warriors and turn them slightly towards a common objective.
The resulting irregularity gives the charge far more life and better suits the appearance of troops moving rapidly across broken Sudanese terrain.
