Rome's armies did not consist solely of legionary heavy infantry.
MRR-20 – Two Archers represents missile troops who can provide an important supporting element within a larger Republican army.
Archery had a long history throughout the ancient Mediterranean world, and Rome could draw upon allied and auxiliary manpower as its military reach expanded. Missile troops offered capabilities that heavily armed infantry could not, engaging an opponent before the main formations met.
These two archers are particularly useful positioned ahead of the heavier Roman line or on the flanks, where their different weapons and poses add considerable visual variety.
