MRR-22 – Two Archers provides another pair of missile troops to support the heavier formations of the Mid-Republic Roman army.
Archers add a very different silhouette to a battlefield dominated by large shields and close-combat weapons. They are particularly effective when deployed in a looser arrangement, suggesting troops able to move and shoot ahead of the main line.
Mixing MRR-22 with the other archer sets allows collectors to build a sizeable missile contingent while maintaining variation between individual poses.
Position them among uneven terrain or slightly ahead of the legionary infantry to emphasise their supporting role.
