N01A – Native Tepee
The tepee, or tipi, was the traditional portable home of many Native American tribes of the Great Plains, including the Sioux, Cheyenne and Blackfoot peoples. Ingeniously designed to suit a nomadic lifestyle, these cone-shaped dwellings were constructed from long wooden poles covered with buffalo hides and could be quickly dismantled and transported as tribes followed the great bison herds across North America. Their efficient design kept families warm in winter, cool in summer, and provided a durable shelter perfectly suited to life on the plains.
The Military Workshop's N01A Native Tepee is a finely crafted miniature that captures the distinctive appearance and cultural significance of this iconic Native American dwelling. Rich in historical character and detail, it makes an excellent addition to military dioramas, frontier scenes, and collections celebrating the history and cultures of North America's Indigenous peoples.
A unique and authentic piece, the N01A Native Tepee offers collectors and history enthusiasts a fascinating glimpse into one of the world's most practical and recognisable traditional shelters.
