NA562 – ‘Chosen Man Rifleman Daniel Hagman’
Older, experienced and deadly with a rifle, Daniel Hagman became one of the most recognisable members of Sharpe's chosen men in the television adaptations of Bernard Cornwell's stories.
NA562 – Chosen Man Rifleman Daniel Hagman recreates this popular fictional character as part of King & Country's expanding Sharpe collection.
Behind the fiction lies the real history of the British rifle regiments. The green-uniformed 95th Rifles fought throughout the Peninsular War and became closely associated with skirmishing ahead of the main infantry line.
Riflemen could take advantage of broken ground and cover rather than remaining permanently shoulder-to-shoulder. Their Baker rifles gave them useful accuracy, while their training encouraged a degree of initiative particularly valuable in skirmish warfare.
Place Hagman beside Harris, Harper and Sharpe to assemble the familiar band of riflemen. Spread the figures naturally across rocks, trees or rough terrain rather than arranging them like line infantry and the display will better reflect the role they portray.
Available through The Military Workshop, NA562 is an excellent King & Country character figure for both Sharpe enthusiasts and collectors of Britain's Napoleonic riflemen.
