NAP074B – Dead Rifleman, Corporal | Thomas Gunn
The Corporal variation of Thomas Gunn's new fallen rifleman gives collectors another opportunity to portray the human cost of the fighting at Waterloo.
NAP074B – Dead Rifleman, Corporal is particularly useful within a large British square, where casualties scattered among the defenders can suggest a formation that has already endured artillery, musketry or cavalry attacks.
Rather than grouping all fallen figures together, try distributing casualties throughout the display. One near the outer ranks and another farther inside immediately gives the impression that the battle has developed over time.
The difference in rank also adds another small layer of detail. Officers and NCOs were just as exposed to the dangers of battle as the men they commanded.
Thomas Gunn created the NAP074 casualty as an entirely new sculpt for its continuing Waterloo range.
