NFYORK-11 – Yorkist Archer | John Jenkins Designs
By the 15th century, generations of warfare had established the English longbowman as one of the most recognisable soldiers in Europe.
NFYORK-11 – Yorkist Archer brings that tradition into the Wars of the Roses, representing a bowman serving the Yorkist cause.
Longbowmen could begin disrupting an opposing force before the armies met at close quarters, but the weapon required considerable strength and long-term practice to use effectively.
In a diorama, this figure is most effective when incorporated into a larger body of archers. Mixing different poses suggests men at different stages of handling their bows rather than a perfectly synchronised firing line.
Available through The Military Workshop – an excellent John Jenkins Designs Yorkist archer for adding further strength to the longbow line.
