NFYORK-14 – Yorkist Archer adds another longbowman to the forces of the House of York.
The Wars of the Roses were fought during a transitional period in European warfare. Knights and men-at-arms in sophisticated plate armour shared the battlefield with large numbers of archers and polearm-equipped infantry.
The result gives collectors tremendous scope for building visually varied armies. A group of Yorkist archers can occupy the forward or flanking positions while billmen and armoured troops provide the strength needed for close combat.
NFYORK-14 is particularly useful for introducing another pose among those bowmen and increasing the impression of a substantial Yorkist host.
