NKE-05A – Musician | John Jenkins Designs

During the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt, the Pharaohs commanded powerful and organised armies capable of conducting military campaigns across considerable distances.

The Egyptian army combined infantry armed with spears and swords, formations of archers equipped with composite bows, and the distinctive two-horse war chariots that became closely associated with the military power of the Pharaohs.

The reign of Ramesses II, particularly the events surrounding the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 BC, represents one of the most celebrated periods of Ancient Egyptian military history.

Alongside these combat formations were supporting figures who formed part of the wider military establishment.

NKE-05A – Musician by John Jenkins Designs represents an Egyptian military musician, providing an additional element of historical interest to the New Kingdom Egyptians collection.

This figure can be displayed alongside NKE-05B – Drummer, together with Egyptian infantry, archers and war chariots, to create a more complete representation of the Pharaoh's army.

An excellent addition to an Ancient Egyptian military procession or encampment display.
