NKE-21 – Libyan Mercenary | John Jenkins Designs

The armies of Ancient Egypt frequently included foreign mercenaries, whose skills and military traditions contributed to the strength of the Pharaoh's forces.

Among these were the Libyans, whose various tribes occupied territories west of Egypt.

During the later New Kingdom, Libyan warriors participated in military campaigns both against and in support of Egyptian forces.

The reign of Ramesses III was marked by major conflicts with Libyan and Sea Peoples groups, including the First Libyan War of 1193 BC described in the John Jenkins Designs historical background.

Libyan warriors were traditionally depicted wearing animal-hide cloaks, often decorated with dyed ostrich feathers, and carrying weapons including bows and long swords.

NKE-21 – Libyan Mercenary by John Jenkins Designs captures a Libyan warrior standing with both arms raised and his sword held in his right hand.

The distinctive pose makes this miniature a dramatic addition to a larger formation of Libyan fighters.

Part of the New Kingdom Egyptians – Battle of Kadesh collection, this figure complements the other Libyan mercenaries produced by John Jenkins Designs.
