NM-15 – Norman Casualty | John Jenkins Designs
The Norman victory at Hastings came at a considerable cost.
NM-15 – Norman Casualty portrays one of William's fallen warriors and provides a more sombre element for collectors recreating the battle of 14 October 1066.
Hastings was a prolonged engagement rather than a brief cavalry charge. Norman infantry and horsemen repeatedly confronted the Anglo-Saxon defensive position, and both armies suffered significant losses during hours of fighting.
Casualty figures are particularly effective when used sparingly among advancing troops. Placed near the Saxon shield wall or on the slope below it, NM-15 immediately suggests the difficulty of the Norman assault.
Available through The Military Workshop – a dramatic John Jenkins Designs battlefield figure adding realism and consequence to a Norman Conquest display.
