NM-26B – Norman Swordsman

The Battle of Hastings was not decided quickly. William’s army spent much of 14 October 1066 attempting to break the strong Anglo-Saxon position, with repeated attacks eventually developing into brutal close-quarter fighting.

NM-26B – Norman Swordsman represents one of the Norman warriors involved in that struggle. Armed with sword and shield, he is equipped for the dangerous fighting that occurred when the opposing forces finally came within striking distance of one another.

Combined with the many different Norman infantry poses produced by John Jenkins, this swordsman helps create a varied and convincing medieval battle line filled with movement and individual character.

Available from The Military Workshop – an excellent addition to the John Jenkins Age of Arthur and Norman collection.
