NM-27A – Wounded Norman
The Norman victory at Hastings came at a considerable human cost. William’s forces repeatedly attacked Harold’s strongly positioned army, and warriors on both sides suffered heavily during the long battle.
NM-27A – Wounded Norman portrays one of William’s soldiers after becoming a casualty of the fighting. Rather than another warrior simply advancing or attacking, this figure introduces the harsh reality of medieval warfare and adds a powerful storytelling element to a battlefield scene.
Placed among advancing Norman infantry or close to the Anglo-Saxon shield wall, the wounded figure helps create a more dramatic and realistic representation of the desperate fighting at Hastings.
Available from The Military Workshop – an evocative John Jenkins figure that adds realism and depth to a Battle of Hastings 1066 diorama.
