NM-27B – Wounded Norman
For much of the Battle of Hastings, the Anglo-Saxon shield wall proved extremely difficult for William’s forces to overcome. Norman attacks were met by determined resistance, resulting in casualties among infantry and cavalry alike.
NM-27B – Wounded Norman captures the human cost of this famous battle, portraying a Norman warrior wounded during the fighting. Such figures are particularly valuable in a large diorama because they help transform an orderly formation of soldiers into a much more convincing battlefield.
Combined with fighting, advancing and fallen warriors, this figure can help recreate the confusion and intensity surrounding the struggle for the Anglo-Saxon position.
Available from The Military Workshop – a highly useful John Jenkins figure for bringing greater realism to a Norman or 1066 battlefield display.
