NM-28A – Norman Swordsman
The Norman army of 1066 brought together warriors with a variety of weapons and battlefield roles. While spearmen provided much of the infantry strength, swordsmen were particularly formidable once the fighting developed at close quarters.
NM-28A – Norman Swordsman depicts one of these warriors armed with sword and shield and prepared to engage the Anglo-Saxon defenders. His pose captures the aggressive nature of medieval hand-to-hand combat, making him particularly effective near the front of a Norman attack.
Display him alongside Norman spearmen, archers and mounted knights to build a more complete representation of the army that crossed the English Channel with William and ultimately changed the course of English history.
Available from The Military Workshop – a superb John Jenkins warrior for expanding your Norman army and Battle of Hastings collection.
