NM-3233B – Norman Armoured Archers
William’s success at Hastings depended on cooperation between the different elements of his army. Archers, infantry and mounted warriors each had their own role, and repeated attacks gradually wore down the Anglo-Saxon defenders.
NM-3233B – Norman Armoured Archers brings together bowmen protected for the dangers of battle while still providing the ranged support so important to the Norman attack.
As a multi-figure set, these archers immediately help create the impression of a coordinated unit rather than an isolated warrior. They work especially well positioned behind spearmen and swordsmen, firing over or between the advancing Norman ranks.
