NM-36A – Norman Archer
The Battle of Hastings lasted for much of 14 October 1066, requiring William to repeatedly adapt his attacks against an enemy that initially held a powerful defensive position.
Norman archers remained an important part of this effort. NM-36A – Norman Archer represents one of these bowmen, adding the missile troops necessary to balance a collection dominated by swordsmen, spearmen and mounted knights.
Rather than displaying every warrior in hand-to-hand combat, archers such as NM-36A allow a collector to recreate the depth of a medieval army, with different ranks performing different battlefield roles.
Available at The Military Workshop – helping collectors build a more complete and visually interesting John Jenkins army of 1066.
