NM-36B – Norman Archer
The story of 1066 is often dominated by William the Conqueror, King Harold and the Norman knights, but victory ultimately depended upon thousands of individual fighting men fulfilling their roles on the battlefield.
NM-36B – Norman Archer represents one of those ordinary soldiers. Equipped with his bow, he formed part of the missile arm of William’s army, supporting the infantry and cavalry that repeatedly attacked the Anglo-Saxon line.
Combined with other Norman archers in different poses, he can form an impressive firing line or be positioned more naturally throughout a larger battle scene, adding both movement and depth.
